Before November 2018, J Derobie, did not know his song, #Poverty, will be the number one trending song in Ghana, but dreams do come to pass.

In November 2018, Nigerian musician and originator of “Banku Music”, Mr Eazi, announced “EMPAWA 100” initiative in search of brilliant and talented underground acts. He through “EMPAWA Africa”, was to fund music videos by talented musicians to a tune of $3000 each.

J Derobie was amongst the many talented acts across Africa who partook in the challenge across social media.
