The Minister of Education, the Honourable Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu will open an Art Exhibition and Fashion Show taking place at her Alma Mater, Ghana International School this Friday, November 4.
As part of Art Week, the Honourable Minister has been invited to the School to open the event which will exhibit the creative work of GIS students.
Commenting on the event, Mr David Arku, Acting Principal said, “The Art departments and the students from Nursery to Sixth Form have been working hard over the past month to produce some truly exceptional work. We are delighted Honourable Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu is able to support their efforts.”
During Art Week, students were given the opportunity to paint, design, animate, sculpt and weave. High profile artists came to hold workshops with the students.
Top artist Professor Ablade Glover and poet, Motombo will also be in attendance at the event on Friday. The event is sponsored by Ecobank, in association with the British Council, Kencar Ghana Ltd, Mensvic Grand Hotel, AK Music Studio and Zanzibar.
