STING PPV 23STING, the longest running one night Reggae show will be turning 30 this year, and a part of the commemorative celebrations include; making STING available in every household worldwide. In 1983 Isaiah Laing thought to bring Reggae, the song of Jamaicans under the roof of the National Arena at a time when many Jamaicans were separated base on their political affiliations.  STING was an instant hit, crowds flocked to the first show and brought Jamaicans together! This year as a part of the celebration STING will be opening its stage to the world, showcasing, Reggae and Dancehall’s most famous artistes and a few international acts. Wyclef  Jean and Hip Hop artiste’s 2Chaniz will be  joining the line up and celebrating STING  30 at Jam World Entertainment complex December 26, 2013.   Supreme Promotions has partnered with Downsound Records’ Joe Bagdanovich who has had tremendous experience and has worked with the likes of; Bob Marley and the Wailers , Rolling Stone, BB King, The YardBirds, David Bowie, Rod Stewart and many more. Bagdanovich has been involved in the concert business for over 30 years. Both mega agencies have come together this year making STING continental. It a guh MAD! The first STING has seen the likes of Shabba Ranks, Supercat, Flourgon , Tiger, Maxie Priest, Junie Ranks, Dominic from the UK., Pinchers,Junior Demus, Peter Metro, Chinnman, Ragamuffin, Sister Charmaine, Lady Mackerel , Major Mackerel , Ninja man, Papa San, Lt Stitchie, Red Dragon, Lady P,Lady Patra, Junior Demus, Mad Cobra, Conroy Smith, Courtney Melody, Little John, Pan Head, Jose Wales, BeenieMan, Bounty Killer,Little Kirk, Spragga Benz,General Trees, Sizzla, Capleton and many more. STING became the benchmark for Reggae. In 1983Artistes faced the toughest crowds and were touted to challenge each other lyrically in what they would call CLASH. Clash quickly became the checkmark for all new Reggae artistes. If the crowd applauded a performance, that artist had a chance of survival in the very challenging and dynamic Jamaica music market. Sting’s stage is where an artiste’s career begins or end. Artistes are expected to hold their own with the ultimate judge being STING’s crowd. The people determined who owned the music and gave that artiste Reggae’s crown. Ninjaman became STING’S reigning CLASH King after beating his rivals lyrically for well over twenty years. The tradition of   CLASH has lived on, and this year will be CLASH after CLASH.   STING 30 will see the return of Dancehall Don Dadda Supercat who to date was a part of the most memorable CLASH to date and has returned to Jamaica after not performing for well over ten years! Major Mackerel will be back and has proposed the ultimate challenge to younger dancehall artiste, Elephant Man. The eight hour show will be available for the first time in the U.S on PayPerView and on Ustream at reduced prices because of the anniversary.  There will be well over thirty onstage acts, STING’s red carpet live, and interviews.
