Music Video: Sister Deborah feat. Y’Akoto – Somebody

Sister Deborah the African Mermaid aka Sister Derby has a new bop for her Dolphins. Somebody is an Afrobeats song written from the perspective of a woman courting a vulnerable man who is playing hard to get.
Sister Deborah is all about flipping stereotypes to make life more colorful for us. Sister Derby recruited German-Ghanaian Singer/Songwriter Y’Akoto on this one and their chemistry makes it a really good call. Somebody is produced by Kuvie and is the second single off her upcoming debut EP “The African Mermaid”.
The video was shot by Ben Zola in Afienya, Tema and is fantastic with beautiful imagery, interesting props, colorful dancing, and wide open landscapes.
