My only regret for being sidelined in Kumawood industry was quality content for my audience reduced – Mr Beautiful
Ghanaian actor and comedian Clement Bonney, widely known as Mr. Beautiful, has expressed that his main regret from being “sidelined” in the Kumawood film industry is that his fans missed out on the high-quality content he once delivered.
During an appearance on Showbiz 360 with Giovani Caleb on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Mr. Beautiful shared that he faced “intimidation” from individuals within the industry and was excluded from film roles after publicly supporting John Mahama and the NDC in 2012.
Despite this, the actor emphasized that he does not regret joining the NDC. His only disappointment is that his fans were deprived of the entertainment he previously provided.
“My only regret for the industry is because of that sidelined I got due to my affiliation with the NDC, they automatically reduced the quality content that my audience has to enjoy. That is the painful aspect.

“I am an entertainer and not just an actor so anything entertainment you can put me there,” he said.
The comic thespian acknowledged that he was fully aware of the consequences of his decision, but he holds no regret, as he was warmly embraced by both the NDC and John Mahama’s family.
“Whatever, I went through I knew before going through. I have not regrated supporting the NDC because Mahama’s family is a very unique family. Even if President Mahama whom I declared my support for is not even there, the brothers are there.
“President Mahama added me to the family when the people were intimidating me and sidelining me and those things,” he added.
