Oifoh John Slim Better known by his stage name -X-JAY was born and raised in Edo state, Nigeria. Being a music lover at an early age, he started rapping at a tender age of 14, soon after the early demise of his Dad. Jay developed love for telling stories with his lyrics and tackling real life issues with lyrics. He was influenced by the likes of 2PAC, Fugees,Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, 2Face, Nas, Just to mention a few. After Graduating from Ambrose Ali University (EDO STATE) as an Economist, He moved down to Lagos for an ample opportunity of getting signed to a record label of his dream. Having recorded couple of songs, He decided to put out his Debut track” Letter To The Ghetto in which he featured Blackface( Plaintainshun Boiz).
