Nigerian Music Video Budgets Could Fund a Ghanaian Film – Camidoh Highlights Industry Gaps
Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Raphael Camidoh Attachie, better known by the stage name Camidoh has urged industry stakeholders to step up their game by making significant investments in music productions, particularly in the quality of music videos.
He stressed that the reluctance of local investors to back music video production and promotion is holding the industry back. Comparing the local industry to Nigeria’s, the music sensation highlighted the vast difference in budget allocations.
“In Nigeria, their budget for shooting a music video is massive. If one takes a look at their budget, it can be able to shoot a Ghanaian film,” he said, underscoring the need for Ghana to emulate this approach.
Reflecting on his musical journey while speaking in an exclusive interview with Melvin Da Enigma on Luv FM, the ‘Breakfast’ singer shared how he was inspired by Akon during his early music days, selling Sobolo and Pure Water at Ola Girls SHS while writing songs.
