Bionic fell in love with Hiphop in 1989 during his studies at the Command Secondary School in Kaduna, Nigeria. He began to write stuff close to poetry because he just wrote down sentences and words that rhymed. Musically, he cut his teeth on Ed Lover, Doc.Dre, Redhead Kingpin & the FBI, Fela Kuti, Chubb Rock, Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock, Big Daddy Kane, Common Sense, Talib Kweli, Wu-Tang Clan to mention a few.
In 1994 he teamed up to form a 5-man rap posse, Definition of Hiphop comprising Mr Kyddx, Bliqstarr, Def C & Klack-a-doo. In 1995, he got together with Bliqstarr and Codename (formerly known as Hot Dogg) and became the Bomb Squad. In 1998, he opened at The Rothman’s Groove performing alongside Plantashun Boiz & The Remedies. In 2000, he was 1st Runner-up in the Benson & Hedges Grab-The-Mic contest. He has since been rocking several stages from university/college Hip-hop concerts to award shows and corporate events.
Bionic together with some other Nigerian artistes re-recorded the popular Coca-Cola radio commercial in 2008 which was later canned. He co-wrote the popular “Bobo Mi” which is a response to P-Square’s hit song “Omoge Mi”. He is currently signed to Huntaz records.
