After auditions in 8 states and 2 months of heart-stopping elimination shows, Nigeria’s Got Talent presents  10 of the best acts that the country has ever seen have made it to the final round of the continent’s for viewers to decide: Who’s Got Talent? They are all in the race for the grand prize of N10 million, and the finale will air on Sunday, December 9, 2012. The first group to make it to the final was an acappella group from Port Harcourt. The Impulse group consists of five young men with dynamic voices. They have shown dedication, team spirit and hard work in every performance. “We saw Nigeria’s Got Talent as a good, strong and exciting platform to showcase our talent and that is what we have been doing right from the beginning,” they said. Next was a man with a very rare talent in this part of the world; DrBariyu Yusuf, a ventriloquist. “I have never seen anyone in Nigeria that can do what I do like me and I can tailor my act to excite any audiences,” said Dr Bariyu, Dr. Bariyu who works as a medical doctor and has been able to make Nigerians see that other than education, your talent is one thing that can make you known to the world.   Godwin Ogechukwu, is one person that has shown that the violin can be used for not just classical renditions but hip-hop as well. The violinist from Benin has brought the A-factor with him in every single performance. “Having to play the violin to Nigerian songs has been challenging but through Nigeria’s Got Talent platform, I have been able to come out of my comfort zone and experiment with the violin,” said Godwin.   Chuka Solace, a rapper from the city of excellence, Lagos was the fourth act to make it into the finals. “I love rap, I love entertainment and I see myself one day as a big name in the industry. As an entertainment role model, I like Lil’ Wayne and back home I am a big fan of the Choc Boys, “said Chuka. Chuka is one person with the right flow, lyrics and rhyme scheme when it comes to rap.   11-year-old Toke Salami from Ibadan is one solemn and graceful singer that the show will not forget in a rush. Toke who has performed Christian songs throughout the show has shown that great things do come in small packages. “I love to sing and Nigeria’s Got Talent has helped to show this talent of mine to the world. Toke, who has performed in the UK,USA and Rome for school competitions, hopes to use the grand prize to further her education and help her family. The Xpendables, a dance group form Port Harcourt; have the energy,skill and uniqueness when it comes to dance. “Our dance is so special because we do incredible things and we are always accurate in our dances,” they said. “Nigeria’s Got Talent has helped us to work has a team, create new and incredible steps and also built us hope for the challenges that come with dancing.”   Amarachi Uyanne, an eight-year-old dancer from the city of Benin has shown versatility, energy, swag and dedication in every performance. Her performances have been described as the X-factor that every show needs. “I have been dancing since childhood and I see dancing as a gift and a passion that God deposited in me. It’s not stressful, Ijust do the best I can with the little energy and it turns out to be the best, which is all by God’s grace.” said Amarachi. Nathaniel Olivia also known as ‘DJ Mouth’, from Port Harcourt is one act that has stormed every performance with beats that are amazing and unbelievable. “I didn’t plan to come for the audition, I was just passing and I saw a gathering of youths and one thing led to another and I here I am. I do other things other than beat box, but beat box is the most spectacular talent that I have been blessed with” hesaid. As a group they are cute and very lovely, but as an act they are fierce, professional and talented. Jess and Ogeh are a group of ballet dancers that have come together to showcase smoothness. “We dance with every breath and energy in us and because we take ballet and contemporary dance to the best of my ability and uniqueness, we are the best at what we do,” said Jesse. “We are grateful that Nigeria’s Got Talent has taken us out of Benin and has shown us to the world as great and skillful ballet dancers,” said Ogeh.   The group of ten won’t have been complete with Boniface Ukeme, a dancer from Port Harcourt. Boniface gives dance another meaning and a deeper interpretation. “I came for Nigeria’s Got Talent because I believe a special and unique ability and talent that the world needs to see,” said Boniface.   From dance, to singing, to violin and many more acts, Nigeria’s Got Talent has shown each weekend that there is always something to look forward to. The show ends next week Sunday with one of the ten finalists walking away with the coveted prize of N10 million. Nigeria’s Got Talent grand finale will be aired on Sunday on AIT (10:30 PM), STV (8:00 PM), NTA (4:00 PM), TVC (9:00PM) and Soundcity (6:30 PM).
