Actress, Moesha Boduong has debunked rumours that it was a man who secured her attendance to this year’s Black Entertainment Television (BETAwards.

Moesha surprised a lot of people when she posted pictures and videos of her attending the event on social media and sparked speculation about how she got there.

“It is interesting that anyone would think that. I did not go on any man’s ticket, I was invited and I went. I think it is high time people started saying other things than this. We may not be out there with our business but some of us are working, really working behind the scenes,” she told Showbiz.

Moesha’s outfit for the BET Awards had a touch of Kente, which excited some of her fans and she explained that, “This was my first time going on this platform so I wanted to do something that represented my home. I needed that touch of Ghana because these chances do not come every day so when you get it, you make good use of it.”

Describing her experience, Moesha said it was exciting. “It was a great time, one that I will not forget in a hurry. I actually had the chance to meet all the American stars I admire and love,” she revealed.
