Nobody has the right to condemn anyone- Celestine Donkor’s husband defends Joyce Blessing
Kofi Donkor, husband and manager to gospel singer Celestine Donkor, has admonished the person trying to destroy the hard earned reputation of Joyce Blessing.
On Wednesday, June 15, social media was sent in frenzy when the video of the award-winning singer, drunk and telling “a lover” that his love has gotten her drunk hit the internet.
“See this red wine… red wine. You make me drunk. I love you. I really love you. I’m not a drunk okay. I’ve never drunk in my life. But you make me… I can never forget you. I can’t babes i love you. Why can’t you see it? This love makes me do crazy things sometimes,” she’s heard saying in the video.
Reacting to the video in a Facebook post, Kofi Donkor explained to the general public that it was not against the holy book to sip red wine. He also asked the public to go easy on the singer as she hasn’t committed any crime.
“Whoever is doing this to Joyce Blessing should know that she is just a divorcee and not a murderer. Is she the only person to have been divorced in life? She is sipping wine and so? Since when did drinking wine become a crime? By the way, what is the first miracle Jesus did? (Read John 2). I am not here to teach the theology of wine. Nobody has the right to condemn anyone.Enough is enough! Leave the woman alone! Be sensitive to her children at least,” he wrote.
Kofi Donkor also expressed his support to Joyce Blessing and asked that his colleagues in the industry stand up and “fight for their sister.”
“To my colleagues in the gospel fraternity, today it is Joyce and we have all gone mute, tomorrow it could be you. Let’s fight for our sister.
Joyce be strong. The Lord is your strength. He will fight for you. Just be still,” he added.
