"Northerners do not support their own artist" - Atimibla on his struggles in the music industry and the way forward.#AmeyawTVExclusive

The contemporary music scene in the Northern Region of Ghana is more vibrant than ever. While most Ghanaians’ knowledge about this Northern music industry ends with Fancy Gadam and Maccasio, there are several uncelebrated and talented artists who give the indegionous industry its vibrancy and diversity.Atimbila has been in the music indutry for a long time, after competing in the first ever ‘MTN Hitmaker’. The northern regional artsit is most remembered for his 2014 hit song “Sister Wopɛ Mianaa” and has worked with the likes of Ruff & Smooth and Sarkodie.

After a video of his rendition of Kwami Eugene’s “Wish Me Well” went viral, AmeyawTV had an exclusive interview with him on his journey so far. Atimbila dishes details of his challenges and plans of a solid comeback into the music scene.
