Top selling Highlife singer, Ofori Amponsah is set to hit the US with his eclectic mixture of love ballads and get down on the dance floor rhythms, for a ten city tour starting March 26 at Park Central Ballroom in Manhattan, New York. He will be headlining Boogie Down Nima’s Real Vision Tour in commemoration of Ghana’s 54th year of independence. Starting in New York City and ending in Los Angeles, Ofori Amponsah will be rocking more than ten cities singing some of the best contemporary Ghanaian Highlife tunes.
The annual Ghana Independence Day celebrations presented by Boogie Down Nima (BDN) has been nothing short of compelling with artists who are masters of their craft, creating vibes straight from the red, gold and green, these black stars have paved the way and left their time stamp on the month of March; creating a need for more arenas to explore, more music to enjoy and more venues to rock down. Some of the past performers include Godfather of Hiplife, Reggie Rockstone; the tongue twisting Tic Tac; the energetic VIP; the innovative Mzbel; the king of Africa dancehall, Samini; and the soothing crooner, Kwabena Kwabena.
Proceeds from the BDN Real Vision Tour will be contributed to the Youth Institute of Science & Technology School-Agogo, 4real4kids and BDN Vision International Music & Education programs.
