beccaKumasi is set to light up with some musical funfair on Saturday, March 24, as the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Festival hits the ‘Garden City’ when the Nominees Jam makes its second stop in the Ashanti Regional Capital. The huge open air jam will feature performances from some of the Nominees: Okyeame Kwame, Buk Bak, Stay Jay, Obaapa Christy, DSP Kofi Sarpong, K. Kwaw Kesse, Blakk Rasta, and many more.  It will be preceded on Friday by an electrifying Nominees Party at the Drive Night Club located in the Golden Tulip Hotel. The VGMA Nominees Jam in Kumasi promises to be an unforgettable and exciting experience that music lovers cannot afford to miss and will be aired live on GH-One TV as well. If what took place in Takoradi last weekend was anything to go by then one can only imagine the excitement that will rock the Garden City this weekend. The VGMA Magic weekend began on last Friday with an extraordinary experience in a jam packed Vienna City Night Club where patrons were left screaming for more from their favorite artistes on the night; Stay Jay, Keche and Eduwoji. The party continued on Saturday March 17th 2012 at the superbly transformed Takoradi Jubilee Park where the largest ever gathering of music lovers in recent times numbering about 20,000 were mesmerized by a fantastic stage set up never experienced in Takoradi. With the stage set, the eager patrons enjoyed exceptional performances from Kwaw Kesse, Becca, Trigmatic, Raquel and Stay Jay. Other nominees who got the crowd jumping all night leaving them with a memorable experience and a good reason why they should be voted for were Keche, Edwoji, Selina Boateng and Gifty Osei, all of whom exhibited remarkable stagecraft. Plus all the action was caught live on GH-One Entertainment TV, taking the excitement of the jam to other parts of the country. The Nominees’ Jam road shows are a means of bringing the nominees closer to their fans as they solicit for votes, as well as bring a piece of the VGMA magic to other parts of the country. Meanwhile, the Voting for the scheme is also ongoing and patrons are encouraged to text B to the short code 1767 for the Vodafone Song of the Year as the decision of who wins this award lies 100% on the general public votes. The Vodafone Ghana Music AWards Nominees Jam in Kumasi is proudly brought to you by Vodafone and supported by Star Beer and Golden Tulip Kumasi.]]>
