Okyeame Kwame tops VGMA industry awards

okyeame kwame kisses wife Okyeame Kwame was the big winner at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards industry awards held on Monday, bagging the Songwriter of the Year and Music for Development nods. His song, ‘Faithful’ also gave ‘Appietus’ Appiah Dankwah the Producer of the Year title. The ceremony, which came five days before the April 14 main event, also saw highlife legend, Pat Thomas receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. The immediate past President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mrs Diana Hopeson also received the MUSIGA Merit Award for her contribution to the Ghanaian musician industry both as an artist and an administrator. Her citation and award was presented by the current President of MUSIGA, Obour. The evening also saw performances by QWECi (Ded Buddy), Okyeame Kwame, Bernice Ansah, Diana Hamilton, Blakk Rasta, George Darko,Guy One, Paulina Oduro, Becca and Felix Owusu.
