People thought Falz and I were dating – Simi speaks on relationship with rapper
Nigerian music sensation, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by the stage name Simi has opened up about her relationship with colleague musician, Folarin Falana, otherwise known as Falz.
The ‘Duduke’ hitmaker in an interview on Angela Yee’s podcast dubbed, ‘Way Up,’ acknowledged that she and rapper, Falz have a strong chemistry when making music.
The duo who have a joint EP which was released years back stated that they both have music history and hinted that she has a new song with Falz coming out later this month.
In her own words,“many people mistakenly believed that they were in a romantic relationship.,I have one more single coming out at the end of this month,” Simi stated. I can tell you who I’m starring on it, but I can’t reveal the title just yet. Falz is here!
‘’There is a history between Falz and me, which makes this intriguing. We participated in an EP and everything before I got married. People mistook us for a couple. People adored the tunes we sang together for a few. You have good chemistry,” they said. Thus, we took the decision to collaborate on an EP, which we named “Chemistry.” People adored it greatly,’’ Simi explained.
Simi and Falz fueled dating rumours after releasing a joint EP titled, ‘Chemistry’ in 2016. The rumours subsided after Simi got married to her secret lover, singer, Adekunle Gold, on January 9, 2019 in Lagos. The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
Simi recently released a song featuring Tiwa Savage titled ‘Men are Crazy’.
