In a recent appearance on Asaase Radio, the ‘Hewale Lala’ hitmaker disclosed that his occasional smoking habit later became a continuous habit which ended him in becoming a chain smoker.

“I picked up a habit of smoking, I was in level 100 and I started, so I said oh I only smoke on occasion so when we sit down then maybe I’ll smoke once. I realized that it started continuing so it got to a point when I close from class and I’m coming, I pass by some place and buy some sticks, I never bought a pack of cigarette because I said if I buy it I’ll become a chain smoker but I honestly was smoking more than the chain smoker. I’ll go and buy four and come back, I’ll go buy three and come back, and then it became a habit still,” he revealed.

Perez Muzik further explained that his smoking habit went on for a while till one day when he realized he had hit an all time low.

“The day I realized that no I had gone too far was one day I said you know what, I quit smoking. So I took the pack, usually when you buy like 10 they put it in a pack for you, so I took it, it was like 6 or something, I took it and I said I’m not going to smoke again, I threw it in a bin.

He continued; “so I was there around 11pm and I started craving for cigarettes, now could you believe I went into the bin and I picked the cigarette and it was a commercial bin, it wasn’t my bin, a bin outside.

“I searched for it and the thing just hit me, I’m like yo bro, this is not you, you’re going too far, like really, this is jonky level bro and so there I caught myself and I’m like naa there has to be better than this,” he revealed.
