Photojournalist, Geoffrey Buta wins Tigo Reach for Change award for his “FOTO4CHANGE” project



geoffrey butaGeoffrey Buta  a photojournalist with New Times Corporation (publishers of Ghanaian Times and Spectator) has received a Reach for Change “ PEOPLE CHOICE AWARD” at a ceremony held in Accra. Presenting the award,  Amma Sefa-Dedeh Lartey, the Regional Manager Africa for Reach for Change commended the award winners for their idea contribution on how to improve lives of children in Ghana.
She said the event is also supported by Tigo as part of their corporate social responsibility entrepreneurship initiative to assist brilliant ideas to positively impact lives of children in the country. Ms. Giulia Tavolato, Reach for Change programs Manager in Ghana urged the awardees to use their talents to impact lives positively as well as contributing to the development of the country especially through transforming children to become better people in the future.
Mr. Buta commended the Reach for Change team and Tigo for their search for social entrepreneurs’ efforts of changing lives in the country. Mr. Buta’s project “FOTO4CHANGE” is using photography to expose challengers people are facing in their communities especially children for individuals and organizations to assist them.
