So I didn’t not only miss Idris Elba’s set at Coachella this year, I also missed an invite to his wedding. Yes, the British heartthrob of Ghanaian and Senegalese parentage is officially no longer an eligible bachelor.
On Friday, the actor wed his model girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco, according to British Vogue. The magazine—who exclusively reported the news and the first photos of the newlyweds—reports that while Elba wore a custom suit by designer Ozwald Boateng Dhowre, the bride wore two bespoke dresses created by Vera Wang.
Following their Friday wedding, and a ‘colours of the Souk’ themed dinner at the lavish Amanjena resort on Thursday, the pair are still set to have an all-white party at the flashy Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech on Saturday night to bring their three day extravaganza to an end.
The newlyweds have spared no expense when it comes to their nuptials, and opted for the incredibly grand Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh for the three day nuptials.
Rooms at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel are priced up to £1,800 per night, and guests were required to wear black tie.
