Popular ‘Kumawood’ producer Danfo B.A passes on[/caption] Ghanaian movie producer and creative brain behind popular Ghallywood movie ‘Kyeiwaa” Kwaku Boakye, popularly known as Danfo B.A, is confirmed dead. The veteran producer is reported to have died in the early hours of Sunday, October 14, 2018, while on admission at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. Reports indicate he has been battling an illness for the past 12 months and was occasionally on admission at the hospital. Danfo B.A. is mostly remembered for some of the controversial Ghanaian movies he introduced into the local movie industry. Until his demise, he was one of the leading movie producers and distributors in the country, having produced numerous films. The late filmmaker also collaborated with Socrates Sarfo to produce other movies. The veteran movie producer and distributor is also credited as a man who nurtured and mentored many Ghanaian actors and actresses. The late Kwaku Boakye left behind a wife and three children.
