Popular sports journalist, Christopher Opoku dies from cancer

Popular sports journalist, Christopher Opoku died on Wednesday, after more than four years battle with cancer. The 41-year old  leaves behind a wife, Vivian, and three girls. Born in Scotland, Christopher Opoku, with a distinct British accent, had a sports presenting career spanning 18 years.  He posted a tweet about his favourite European club Liverpool barely two weeks ago and updated his facebook post only five days ago. His painful struggle with cancer of the rectum had barred the baritoned broadcaster from active work engagements. “My whole world was shattered,” he told Goal.com after he was diagnosed with the disease and went through surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on September 24, 2012.  ]]>
