President Akufo-Addo presents Ghc100,000 to support Tagoe Sisters foundation



President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has presented a sum of Ghc100,000 to support Gospel duo, Tagoe Sisters foundation dubbed “Tagoe Twin and Children Foundation.”

As part of their 40th anniversary celebration, celebrated Gospel duo, Tagoe Sisters launched their foundation, “Tagoe Twin Foundation” at the Golden tulip Hotel in Accra on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

The official launch happened 10 years ago and coincided with their 30 years anniversary and influence in the Gospel Music world.


Their foundation is aimed at raising funds to support post-natal needy mothers and twins with a target of Ghc10,000,000.

The president made the Ghc100,000 presentation during the celebration of the music duo’s 40 years anniversary dinner party and fund raising launch for their foundation which happened on the 5th of October, 2023.

H.E Nana Akufo-Addo urged the creative arts industry to emulate the music duo’s initiative to support the needy and to embark on humanitarian activities, supporting the needy and less privileged in the country.


He appealed to all citizens to donate to support the music duo’s foundation and the sustainability of their industry.


This year, the duo is celebrating their 40th anniversary in the gospel ministry with a series of live musical concerts this month. The concert is slated for Sunday, October 15 at 4 p.m. at the Accra International Conference Centre, and performances include Nacee, Celestine Donkor, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Pat Thomas, Joe Mettle, and many more.
