The Purpose

Any person interested in a prime mover must know what they will use the truck for. Some trucks will be used to move households and offices, while others are intended for use on construction sites. Knowing the purpose of the purchase will help narrow the choices regarding the cab configuration, the number of axles, and whether the axles are driven or steerers. In addition, the buyer must choose a brand to buy, as this plays a role in service options. Finally, the purpose determines the power needed to haul loads. A driver doesn’t want a vehicle with excessive power, as this vehicle will require more fuel.
