Real romance isn’t about buying flowers or jewelry – Nadia Buari

Published

on

Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari, has taken to social media to share her thoughts on what a real romance should be like.

In a post on her Instastories, the mother of four opined that real romance isn’t about buying flowers or pieces of jewelry for one’s lover.

Nadia believes, a true romance is the little things you do every day to show you care. Giving example, the actress said; random text messages, kissing in the rain, telling your lover you miss or love him, etc are parts of romance.

She also said giving and not buying is also an example of a true relationship.

“I think a lot of people don’t understand what real romance is. Anyone can buy flowers, candy and jewelry, there’s no love in that. The truly romantic things in life are those little things you do every day to show you care, and that you’re thinking of them. It’s going out of your way to make them happy. The way you hold her hand when you know she’s scared, or you save the last piece of cake for him.

The random text in the middle of the day, just to say “I love you” or “I miss you”. The way he stops to kiss you when he passes by. It’s dedicating her favorite song to her, and the letting her eat your fries; telling her she’s beautiful, even when she’s in her sweats; with her hair in a ponytail and no makeup.

It’s putting your favorite show on pause so she can tell you about her day, and laughing at his jokes even the really lame ones. It’s slow dancing in the kitchen and kissing in the rain. Roman isn’t about buying, it’s about giving. True romance is in the gestures” her post reads.

Amb Michael Oquaye, CEO of GFZA, pays courtesy call on Asantehene, His Royal Majesty, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II

Published

As part of a three-day visit to the Ashanti Region, Ambassador Michael ANNY Oquaye, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, and his management team paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.

The visit formed part of the CEO’s drive to engage with key stakeholders as he works towards the export-oriented vision of His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic.

Amb Oquaye presented the Ghana Free Zones Industrial developmental plan for the Kumasi Export Processing Zone to His Royal Majesty and informed him of steps to eject land encroachers from the site to pave the way for the start of the project.

The Land, acquired in 2005 as one of Ghana’s Export Processing Zones, is set to receive the needed facelift as the country positions itself as the Export Hub within the sub-region

The funding is part of a World Bank facility extended to Ghana to develop the Greater Kumasi Industrial Park.

As part of efforts to get the project started on time, the World Bank engaged consultants in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry to undertake several exercises, including site assessment, best practice benchmarking, environmental and social impact assessment.

On-ground inspection is set to start from October 2021. Hence, it has become critical to eject all the illegal structures to pave the way for the planned development.

On his part, His Royal Majesty congratulated Amb Oquaye on his appointment and expressed his confidence in the former Ambassador to deliver on the new mandate given to him by the President as he did during his tenure as Ghana’s Ambassador to India.

The Asantehene added that he supports the steps to remove all illegal structures and encroachers who have acted without attaining building permits from the Ejisu Municipal Authority.

Otumfuor Osei Tutu II recalled how he supported the acquisition of the Land in 2005 and lamented its abandonment all these years.

However, he was optimistic that the new focus on the Greater Kumasi industrial project would see the Land being put to its intended use.

The Management team of the Ghana Free Zones Authority made a donation to Manhyia during the visit.

Jessy Gh Finally Drops His Anticipated Apple and Rose EP

Published

on

Jessy Gh

Ghanaian rapper and singer Jessy Gh has released his most anticipated EP dubbed Apple and Rose. The EP features Amerado, Scata Bada, and Jah Phinga.  Apple – Signifies songs on the EP that talks about struggles. Rose – Refers to songs on the EP which talks about love. Apple And Rose according to Jessy were inspired by few life experiences. This Ep contains 8 songs and features Amerado, Scata Bada and Jah Phinga. Produced and mixed by sector made it, mastered by Kv Bangerz.

FEATURES

Among the 8 songs on the EP, the 3 tracks with the various features have different dynamics. Though the singles can’t be written off, let’s take our time and look at the gravity of the various artists on the EP.

Track 2- “EBEFA”: It features Rashid Mortey a Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste and songwriter known by stage name Scata Bada. Scata Bada recorded several songs including his major hit single “STYLE IT” featuring BET award winner, Sarkodie. He was a nominee for the Discovery of the Year category of the Bass Award 2016. Scata followed with “6 packs” in 2017 which featured Stonebwoy. His presence on the EBEFA song made the song unique.

Track 6- ADOM: Adom simply means grace. Though Jessy Stated that each song called for the feature itself as in the inspiration he got, we believe Amerado was the right catalyst especially with his rise to fame in recent times.  Known as Amerado, Derrick Sarfor Kantanka has made rap an interesting piece to write about through his “Y33te Ns3m” since the peak of the Covid 19. He rose famously for his rap music in 2018 when he released his lead single “I AM”.The song was rated among the top 10 Ghanaian songs by Pulse Ghana. He got nominations for the best Hip-hop Song and Best Video at the 2019 VGMA’s and was also featured on Sarkodie’s “Biibi ba” song.

Track 7-“FOR YOU” was a perfect call for Jah Phinga and will say it was God’s plan. Jonathan Woelin Segbefia popularly known as Jah Phinga was the chosen one on this. He is a Reggae/Dancehall artiste. He has recorded over 55 singles and has worked with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and others. His song “ONE WORLD ONE PEOPLE ” grabbed him a nomination in 2017 at the All African Music Awards (AFRIMA). Jah Phinga is currently the reigning Volta Music Awards Artist of the year. His recent exploits with Ice Prince have just shown how determined he is to succeed in this field.
