Reggie Zippy’s Ex-Wife Reveals Shocking Details in Response to Public Claims
Edith Ward, the ex-wife of UK-based Ghanaian artist Reginald Ainooson, professionally known as Reggie Zippy, has finally broken her silence to respond to the claims made by the musician.
In a detailed and emotional statement to Ameyaw Debrah Media, Edith, addressed the accusations leveled against her, providing her side of the story regarding the dissolution of their marriage and the subsequent fallout.
The mother of three expressed frustration at the narrative that has been circulating for over two years, which she feels unfairly paints her as a vindictive mother. She claimed that this portrayal is far from the truth and has caused her and her children significant distress.
Edith further addressed the process of their divorce, noting that contrary to Reggie’s public statements, he did not cooperate with the proceedings. She detailed how the process was delayed because Reggie failed to acknowledge the divorce application, forcing her to take additional legal steps to finalize it. The divorce was only completed on September 25, 2023, not in July as Reggie had previously claimed.
“Yes, I filed for divorce from my ex-husband 2 days following his confession of cheating on me for 2 years with his current girlfriend. The reason for the divorce was not only due to cheating but also constant alcohol abuse by my ex, which was impacting my life and my children’s life,” Edith stated.
She went on to disclose a tense incident on June 2, 2023, when Reggie allegedly arrived at her home unannounced, shouting and demanding entry. Despite her pleas for him to leave, he refused, leading her to call the police. According to her account, Reggie posted about the incident on social media while the police were on their way, further exacerbating the situation.

Following this, she filed for a non-molestation order to protect herself and her children from what she described as Reggie’s increasingly erratic and aggressive behavior. She revealed that Reggie failed to attend the court hearing on September 15, 2023, where the judge ruled in favor of enforcing the order based on the evidence she provided, including text messages, call recordings, and social media posts.
In her statement, Reggie’s ex-wife passionately called for an end to the public spectacle, highlighting the toll it has taken on her and her children. She emphasized that while she has moved on from the marriage and harbors no bitterness, she deserves respect and privacy, especially for the sake of her children’s well-being.
“I do not hate my ex, nor am I bitter. I have moved on and have accomplished so much in the past 2 years that I have no reason to hate,” she added.
Edith urged the public not to take sides based on a one-sided story, noting that the true victims of the situation—her children—have been subjected to undue scrutiny and verbal abuse.
“Enough is enough,” she declared, vowing to continue standing up for herself and her children against what she described as an unfair portrayal of their lives.
Edith Ward reiterated that Reggie Zippy has not been prevented from seeing their children. She explained that since 2022, both she and other parties have repeatedly advised him to use mediation services to establish fair visitation arrangements. However, Reggie has consistently refused to do so, opting instead to air his grievances on social media without making any genuine efforts to resolve the issue privately.
The ex-wife of the singer expressed a desire to move on from the drama and focus on raising her children in a safe and healthy environment, free from the toxic influence she believes Reggie has brought into their lives.
