Rihanna drops more clues about upcoming 7th LP

Published

on

Rihanna has fans guessing the title of her seventh album which is becoming an elaborate top secret puzzle left for her fanbase to solve. So far, all clues point to “Isis.” It all started earlier this month when the French leg of Def Jam accidentally tweeted,”Nouvelle annonce ce jeudi a propos de Rihanna sur notre compte.” Fans and media got on Google Translate and were quick to deduce that a new album was on the way, exactly a year following the release of Talk That Talk. News of the Diamonds World Tour followed, and over the weekend Rihanna revealed backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival that the new album’s first single, dropping this Wednesday, would also be titled “Diamonds.” Things were slowly starting to connect. The next piece of the puzzle came today when Rihanna announced a new website for the album, www.rihanna7.com, in a series of tweets. On the webpage, her “R” logo is made up of a collage of words believed to be song titles and lyrics off her next album. In addition to “Diamonds,” some of the other graffiti includes “What’s Love Without a Tragedy,” “Just Want to Be Found,” “Complete Woman,” “I Want You to Stay,” “Chapter 7” and lots of shout-outs to her fanbase aka Rihanna Navy. However two things stuck out, the words “Isis” and larger print “Love Now.” “Isis” appears twice and has been an obsession for the singer lately. “Isis” is known in Egyptian mythology as “The Female of the Throne.” Wikipedia states the goddess was “worshipped as the ideal mother and wife as well as the patron of nature and magic. She was the friend of slaves, sinners, artisans, and the downtrodden, and she listened to the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats, and rulers.” Rihanna recently got a large tattoo inked across her lower chest of the ancient goddess and spread the news of her new tatt with a tweet that read: “Goddess Isis – Complete Woman – Model for future generations – #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart.”  Rihanna has also taken the “Isis” concept to the stage, both performing from a throne at the VMAs and riding in on a ship when she helped close the London Paralympics alongside Coldplay and Jay-Z. Were just sayin’ all this fuss about “Isis” would make sense when it comes to an album title for Rihanna’s seventh studio album. And when you put into play, Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad street cred, revealing an album title by way of a subtle tattoo would be a first in the pop star world. But, then again, there are a million and one other possibilities too. A nod to her beloved fanbase i.e. “My Navy” is also long overdue.]]>

Did insurance agency owner, Stephen Ira Adams lie about Ghanaian scamming him?

Published

on

Stephen Ira Adams, who owns an insurance agency in central Louisiana, has gone viral since a feature on his unlikely relationship with a young Ghana was broadcast on CBS Mornings.

According to him, in 2016, he got a call that unexpectedly moved him. He heard a pain that he knew all too well. “Something in that young man’s voice, I felt like I could hear him through the phone that he was a broken person,” Adams told “CBS Mornings” lead national correspondent David Begnaud.

The man on the other end was at a call center in Ghana, Africa. He asked Adams to purchase a gift card.

“I said to him, ‘What you’re doing right now is a scam. You know, you are targeting elderly Americans and it’s not right,'” Adams said. “And I said, ‘When you get off, call me.'”

The man called him back. “He did not ever ask me for any money ever again. Nope, he did not. He asked me for mosquito nets, malaria drugs, educational things,” Adams said.

That man was Prince Anderson, who is from a small village in Ghana. As the oldest son in the family, he took on the duty of caring for his sick mother and supporting his younger brother through school after his father died.

It’s now been five years since Adams and Anderson first spoke and they still keep in touch via FaceTime.

“The kind of love he showed me, the things he sends me, the money, and the care and love with my mom and everything — the love he showed me, it’s overwhelming,” Anderson said.

Adams, a 41-year-old father of two boys, said he sees himself as a father figure to 25-year-old Anderson.

“I told him to quit that call center, and he never went back because he found out what it was about,” Adams said. “Some of the people working there, I found out, don’t even know what’s going on. His next job after he quit that call center, he was washing windows at the airport.”

But it seems there is a different account to the story that has gone viral, and Stephen Ira Adams may be on to something deceitful.

After we shared the video from CBSMornings on Instagram, an account under the name “Bossc_hairman” commented on the post denying Adams’ story. The account went ahead to post the conversations that ensued between Prince and Adams via social media in 2016.

According to the screenshots, Prince reached out to Adams after seeing details of him on the website of Northwestern State University. There was no phone call to scam Adams as he suggested in the interview.
