Ryan Leslie ordered to pay $1 Million reward over laptop
Producer Ryan Leslie appeared in court on Tuesday (November 27), where he lost a $1 million judgment over a reward offered for a stolen laptop. Ryan Leslie’s laptop was stolen in November 2010, in Cologne Germany. Leslie went to the Internet and offered a $20,000 reward for the laptop, which contained valuable productions created by the producer, on its hard drive. Because of the productions, Leslie upped the reward to $1 million for the safe return of the laptop and the files that were contained on the hard drive. An auto mechanic in Cologne named Armin Augstein found the laptop while he was walking his dogs. According to the New York Post, the pair ended up in a dispute over the loot in Manhattan Federal Court, where a jury ruled against Ryan Leslie, claiming that he was legally obligated to pay the $1 million reward for the safe return of the laptop.]]>
