Samini descends on John Dumelo to clear the air about his “V8” saga
Award-winning reggae-dancehall artist, Samini has asked actor John Dumelo to clear the air about his alleged “V8” car gift from the NDC.
In the year 2017, it was reported that the National Security operatives caught John Dumelo with a vehicle belonging to the state and retrieved it from a spraying shop.
Dumelo was allegedly attempting to conceal the identity of the black V8 Toyota Land Cruiser with registration GE 8118 –16 when the operatives pounced on it at a garage at Abelemkpe in Accra where it had purportedly been sent for re-spraying.
The vehicle, with chassis number JTMHVOJ2F4159829, 2015 model with full option, had reportedly been parked at the Office of the President Annex for almost one month.
Meanwhile, a lot of celebrities have added their voice to the “#Dropthechamber” hashtag on social media to protest parliament’s decision to construct a new chamber.
Dumelo, who is one of the many celebrity voices protesting the chamber in a Tweet, asked for the government to target the budgeted amount to building factories.
“$200m budgeted for the construction of a new parliament chamber can build 10 factories which are capable of employing 10,000 youth”.
Samini however replied to Samini’s Tweet asking if he Dumelo was aware his “V8” could provide for some villages.
“Good point. Same way one #V8 cost can do wonders in my village boss. Did you try to keep it or they lied on you chale…Ghana wants to know,” Samini replied John Dumolo’s tweet.
Samini did not stop there, he has gone further to write a couple of tweets demanding Dumelo to come out and clear the air on whether indeed the “V8” was a government property or not.
