Ghana’s leading rap artist, Sarkodie has chalked for himself another international recognition by being nominated for Rap/Hip-Hop Song at The 13th Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), for his hit song, ‘Illuminati’.  He is nominated alongside Kidd Clazzic , Kreed N Deed, Sweatshop Union, and Tuan X feat. Anna.

Music Resource Group (MRG), earlier this week announced the Nominees of The 13th Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent artists and fans. The nominations in more than 80 Album, Song, EP, Music Producer, Music Video and Design categories were culled from thousands of submissions from North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, Greenland and Europe. The 13th IMA Nominees represent an eclectic mix of established and rising talent including Melissa Ferrick, Yuck, The Soul of John Black, Omar Sosa, Willie Sugarcapps, Born Of Osiris, Vienna Teng, Suzzy Roche & Lucy Wainwright Roche, and Elizabeth Mitchell are among many other deserving artists whose recordings were released during the 13th IMA program eligibility period.
