International Model and Entrepreneur Rachael Williams, the first ever Miss Black Britain and Miss England finalist is set to arrive in Ghana on April 22, to shoot spreads and campaigns for African and British Designers.

Rachael, who is also the face of Arise Magazine Fashion Week, currently works in Europe, USA and Africa modelling for brands such as Vogue Italy and Japan, Sleek Africa and Sleek UK, L’Occtaine, Adebayo Jones, Kosibah Bridal, Alexander McQueen, L’oreal Mizani, Sika Designs, Prescriptives Make up. She is the current Face of the United Kingdoms Largest Afro Caribbean Hair and beauty Show, “Afro Live 2010”. She can also be seen striding down catwalks in London Fashion Week, Caribbean Fashion Week and many others.

While in Africa, Rachael will be travelling to Sierra Leone to walk in a show honouring Michelle Obama’s achievements as the First Lady of USA. The “Women’s Excellence Awards show” will take place on April 28 to mark Sierra Leone’s Independence. Rachael says she is very honoured to have been asked to model at the event, and she is very excited to have the opportunity to meet Michelle.

Rachael also has a strong interest in developing her acting career within the Nollywood and Ghallywood movie industry. According to her, she is looking forward to meeting and gaining advice from African film stars such Majid Michel, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah and Ama K Ambebrese.  Rachael  has featured on popular European TV Channels and networks such as BBC, MTV and Channel 4, however her interest in acting developed after featuring as a lead girl in 2face Idiba and Sway’s music video “My Kinda Girl”.

Rachael is a regular at exclusive red carpet events, hanging out with an array of celebrities such Usher, Pharrell, Kelly Rowland, Tiny, Sway, Eddie Kadi, Alexander Amosu and more. She will also be partying with American Hip Hop star Fabulous, Wizkid, VIP, 4×4 and Ruff N Smooth at the 233connect Concert in Accra, this Easter period.

Rachael is the CEO of We Girls Rock; A London based organization offering taster courses in Fashion, Sports, Business and Entertainment for young girls aged 13-25. She will also be meeting a few selected schools, teachers and charities to lay her foundation for the We Girls Rock Africa Project, in which will be headed by her sister, Rebecca Williams.
