When Canadian rapper, Zakisha Brown made her first ever visit to the motherland during the “Year of Return” in 2019, she had no idea she’d be inspired to record a song that resonates with many across the world.
The Toronto based rapper after spending 3 months in Ghana, returned to her home country, charged and inspired which led to her recording her hit single “Went to Ghana.”
“Went to Ghana” is inspired by Zakisha’s love for the Ghanaian culture, food, energy, humbleness, helpfulness and selflessness of the Ghanaian people.
