Some celebrities have offered to pay me to talk trash about their outfits on my show- Charlie Dior
Ghanaian Media personality and Fashion Critic, Charlie Dior has revealed that some celebrities reach out to him to talk trash about their outfits on his “Fashion review Show.”
According to Charlie, he has even had celebrities offer to pay him money to be featured on his show.
“I have had some celebs hit me up and say ‘ so you didn’t talk about my VGMA look, you didn’t see my outfit’, and I have had celebs who actually want to pay me to trash them because the more you trash them, the more popular they become,” he told Zeinat in an interview on Ameyaw TV.
Charlie, who has become popular for his critique on celebrity fashions explained that despite the juicy offers from some of the Ghanaian celebrities, he has turned them down in hopes to keep his credibility intact.
“Some of the celebrities have reached out to me to pay me, but I haven’t taken any money yet because I also want to be true to myself. If I don’t like it, then I don’t like it and if I start taking money they will know that this outfit is bad but Charlie is saying, then my credibility will be like , oh he doesn’t even know what he is doing,” he explained.

Despite the popular belief out there that he may have made enemies out of the celebrities whom he has criticised heavily on his show, Charlie states that he surprisingly, has a cordial relationship with most of them.
‘‘I have met half of these celebrities that I talk about. The reactions are amazing and it even shocks me when I meet them and how graceful they are, when I met Nana Ama McBrown she was the one who walked up to me, we saw each other across the room and we walked up to each other and it was love. So, I think the fans that are watching take it more personal than the main celebs, I have met them all and your favourite celebrities hit me up, they want me to talk about them,” he added.
