Minister of Sports, Isaac Asiamah has debunked rumours that government would refund Asamoah Gyan’s moneyused to pay for a chartered flight for the Black Stars. Reports have suggested that the Black Star’s captain had transported the Black Stars from Brazzaville to Accra after their 5-1 thrashing of Congo in a World Cup qualifier. Gyan revealed that he was forced to make arrangements for the team after poor planning by the Ghana Football Association and the Black Stars management team. https://ameyawdebrah.com/photos-when-nana-akufo-addo-visited-asamoah-gyans-la-basilica-de-baby-jet-mansion/ However, while speaking at the Public Accounts Committee on Tuesday, Asiamah said Gyan rescued the team at his own expense. “For us as a ministry, we have our arrangements, that was what was in place, there was nothing [like] we reneged our duty or on our obligation, because everything was in place. So if the captain decides to pay that from his own pocket that is fine…we as a ministry we won’t complain.” He added that the ministry “never breached our arrangement”.]]>
