Stella Aba Seal reveals how her divorce 22yrs ago inspired her hit song ‘Gyem Taataa’
Veteran gospel songstress, Stella Aba Seal formerly known as Stella Dugan has disclosed how her divorce process 22 years ago inspired her popular song ‘Gyem Taataa’.
The silky singer in an interview with Stacy Amoateng on the ‘Restoration Show’ said the song was inspired by the words in Psalm 21, a scripture she found comfort in during her 1998 divorce from ex-husband, Mr Dugan.
The mother of three also shared important steps she took to overcome the difficult time in her.
From changing her contact number every four months to not granting interviews, Stella had Ghanaians shook when she first spoke about her divorce to Bola Ray in a 2008 interview.

The singer professionally changed her Stella Dugan to Stella Aba Seal after the divorce.
