One of Ghana’s sensational Gospel musicians Moses Osei Kwarteng, well recognized in the gospel music fraternity as Moses OK has advised Christians to quit listening to secular songs.

In an interview with Onua FM’s Victor Kodom on Tuesday March 28, 2023, the ‘Osoro taa waky’ hitmaker opined that for the sake of spiritual growth, every Christian should stick to gospel music.

He further emphasized that Christians have no business listening to secular song as it does not in any way better their Christian lives.

In the words of the legend, “You can’t listen to songs that do not carry the word of God, songs that don’t correspond with the scriptures. That’s why I don’t encourage people to listen to secular songs.”

Moses OK asserted that the lyrics of songs are spirits which produces power and therefore encouraged Christians to listen to songs that have the spirit of God, which is Gospel music.

“You can’t listen to any song as a believer, emphasizes good Christians. I’m not talking about those who just call themselves Christians, I’m talking about those who have the spirit of God in them,” he stated.

He concluded by saying, “You have to listen to Gospel songs because whenever you consume music, the words come directly to your heart, which forms and frames your life. That’s the reason why God himself gave us his word, which is light onto our path.”
