Entertainment on GhOne Entertainment TV is about to get more exciting and interesting as they introduce a new Christian family Sunday programme called “The Sunday Show” which starts airing this Sunday at 6pm. The Sunday Show is a Christian family show that brings both the old and the young together with the aim of making Christianity and serving God as fun and free as possible. The Sunday Show is not only for the youth but the old and young at heart individuals with the sole purpose of serving God.
The Sunday Show promises to be fun, exciting and is set to break the norm of Christian family shows in GH with captivating segments such as the Personality Interviews: this interview segment will showcase artistes in the Gospel realm being interviewed in a fun and relaxed way, with the main aim of going into the lives of these artistes and ask questions that have never been asked before. Seasoned gospel artistes who will be interviewed on the personality interview segment include Cwesi Oteng, Preachers, Herty Bongreat, Joe Mettle, Royal Priesthood and other well established gospel artistes.
The one hour long program will also see Live Performances from the Gospel musicians performing their chosen song live on stage and sometimes with the help of the host, who is also a turntablist by profession. The Game Show (The Quest) will feature young Christians battling it out on set to find out who is the master of the bible world. There will be inserts of inspirational messages, quotations, videos, and programs that have happened.
The Sunday Show will see one of gh’s finest host who is well vexed in the business of the Christian Kingdom and has hosted so many successful Christian programs which includes JC Café. Justin Agyei Mensah aka Jay Smoke, born in Nigeria, educated in South Africa and fulfilling his calling in Ghana. Justin Agyei Mensah is an S.O.T.K (Son of the King) and isn’t ashamed to show it. Growing up in a community deeply rooted in Hip-hop Music, it was only a matter of time before Jay Smoke’s mind was brainwashed and began chasing after the American Dream. Fortunately for him, he realized early in life, the negative effect Hip hop Music had on him.
This awareness, backed by a conscious effort to change, made him seek after something different. He soon stumbled upon Christian Rap and instantly fell in love. It was clean, thought-provoking, uplifting, spirit filled, inspirational and life changing.
He became a fanatic and started a collection and now he has become a voice to reckon with when it comes to Christian Hip-hop music in Ghana. He is a passionate, young Ghanaian Christian, who wants to impart the same blessing on many people, both young and old; people who are yearning for a change in their lives and have grown weary of the negative misleading messages they are forced to listen to on the airwaves.
Jay Smoke has a dream and that dream is to infiltrate every single sector of the youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Hip Hop and R&P.
