The Lord’s Star was too bright for Afaus Lovely School in The Sharks Quiz

There was a whole new impression at the junior contest of The Sharks Quiz that brought together Afaus Lovely School and the Lord’s Star International School. Both schools being first time qualifiers of #TheSharksQuiz put up impressive performances and glistened regardless of which was ahead of the other.

Either institution hurdled on at parallel pace with one not giving the other a chance. This ended in a 40 – 40 score for the first round.

In the next round, the Kumasi contenders seemed to have lost hold of themselves. As deep as they thought, they made excessive wrong attempts which submerged them into the negatives. The Lord’s Star intelligently made use of that chance to finish off with 20 points against the other’s -25. Suspense began to whirl around the auditorium as Afaus Lovely gathered momentum to fight back, rising above their last fall.

They attacked contemptuously and muddled their counterparts to -5 while they scooped 25 points in the third round. By the end of that round the total scores stood at 55 against 40. The Ashaiman representations were still in the lead. Then, it was time for the last part of the contest to decide which of the competitors wears the victor’s crown.

Both schools kicked each other pretty hard with their brains. They fought mightily for what was at stake till the very end. It was a great battle with both sides but one had to triumph, nonetheless. Either of them scored additional 20 points to what they had already accrued. This still put The Lord’s Star International School forward with 15 points more than their contenders. It was a great show to watch. The coordination and strategic attacks were a delight and have left many with the desire to witness the winners’ performance in quarterfinals.
