Wiyaala promotes positive image of Ghana in Slovenia

Wiyaala 1

Wiyaala’s week long tour of Slovenia at the invitation of The Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was an unqualified success which she has used to promote a positive image of Ghana.

Besides sightseeing in the beautiful capital city of Ljubljana, the Ghanaian songstress performed at the “Dan Afrike” concert in the Town Hall Square alongside leading Slovenian musicians, including Tinkara Kovac, famous for representing Slovenia at the 2014 Eurovision contest. Wiyaala also did two club shows including the Blunout Club in Domzale, well known for hosting Slovenia’s top musicians.

Perhaps, Wiyaala’s most significant contribution was to give a presentation about cultural and healthcare issues in Upper Rest Region at a conference designed to raise “Awareness about Diversity & Inclusion in Ghana.” Other speakers included Mirjam Sopar Urlep, President of the Management Board of Sandoz d.d, Gilbert Meznar Yelewere, President of the Slovenia/ Ghana Business Club. The event was hosted by Gregor Makuc, Head of Public Affairs for Novartis, Slovenia.

Naturally, Wiyaala couldn’t leave the auditorium without the talented singer giving her audience a rousing and well-received musical interlude.

Wiyaala made a short film of the trip: watch the video here:
