Viasat 1’s primetime talk show ‘The One Show’ closed its second season on Thursday June 16 with an exciting live show. The second season of the show saw a slight change in content as it took a swivel from its entertainment focused- up beat- tempo to a more mature approach, including political and socio-economic issues to its discussions. Some critics were a bit skeptical about the new approach but in the long run the additions have been acclaimed as welcome and described as progress.Season 2 also saw the addition of a second host in the person of PY Addo Boateng, in a quest to broaden the scope and reach of the show which was initially totally female skewed. During its run the One Show has hosted personalities from diverse divides of society including some big names in showbiz the likes of female rap artiste Tiffany, Afro-neo-soul diva Efyah, Afro-pop star Easy, Actress Yvonne Okoro, Actor Adjetey Annang, to mention a few. Issues tackled have included sexual dysfunctions in both sexes, reformed homosexuals, health care, family and relationships. Others hosted included Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Chiropractor practitioner Dr Marcus Manns, and black stars player Hans Adu- Sarpei- who denied rumors that he had some sort of an affair with controversial radio and TV personality Delay, on the show.

Hosts of the one show Joselyn Dumas and PY Addo Boateng say they have had an eventful and exciting season. “We hope to have an even more enthralling season 3!” Season 3 of the one show is expected to take off before close of year. Meanwhile a new series Life Is Wild has began on Viasat1. Life Is Wild is an American television serial drama adapted from the popular British drama Wild at Heart. The show is about a New York veterinarian who moves his second wife and their two sets of children to a South African game reserve run by his former father-in-law. Life Is Wild shows Sundays at 8pm only on Viasat 1.
