The Recording Academy invites Wiyaala to its 2022 membership class

The “Lioness of Africa,” Wiyaala has been invited to join the Recording Academy’s class of 2022.

The academy sent out invites on June,28th to over 2000 new members to join.

This year’s invitees include professionals from wide-ranging backgrounds, genres and disciplines.

The invitations reflect the invitees’ important contributions to music, as well as a desire to influence progressive changes within the music industry.

Accepting the honor in a tweet, a very excited Wiyaala wrote;

“I am GRATEFUL Thank you. @RecordingAcad for inviting me to be a member. 🌍🦁🌍#Roarrrrrr 🤸🏾😃🤸🏾🙏🏾.”

Those invited have until July 12 to accept their invitations if they are to vote for the 65th annual Grammy Awards.
