DStv viewers can soon tune in to more exciting viewing on BBC Entertainment with a new season of ‘The Street’ as well as a new mini-series, ‘Above Suspicion’. The Street (Season 3) features six stories told from the point of view of neighbours all living on the same street in Manchester. Each episode stands alone as we get to know the street’s residents one by one.

The Street takes us behind closed doors to reveal a community brimming with deceit, anger, frustration, friendship, love and redemption.  DStv audiences can tune into BBC Entertainment from Sunday 21 August at 20:00 CAT to watch as the series starts with reformed alcoholic landlord Paddy Gargan, who after barring the son of local gangster Thomas Miller finds himself in deep water as he is given an ultimatum. Either he serves him and his son the next day or he will face the wrath of the Millers. The Street explores the day-to-day encounters of society and exposes and exaggerates what would normally be issues that most of us would simply sweep under the carpet. The series presents masterful storytelling, authentic emotions, and characters that we can all relate to at some point in our lives.

‘Above Suspicion’ is a three-part series concerns a horrific case of copycat killing, bringing the previous series’ investigative team back together once again. Kelly Reilly stars as DC Anna Travis, while Ciaran Hinds is her boss, volatile Detective Chief Inspector Langton.DC Travis and the team are reunited when a skateboarding youth makes a shocking discovery at his local skate park; a lifeless white figure, completely drained of blood. Travis now faces a race against time as she attempts to keep the murder out of the media spotlight and find the murderer before he strikes again. However, when the team receive a letter from the copycat killer it is evident that his work is far from complete.

DStv audiences can tune into BBC Entertainment from Monday 22 August at 20:00 CAT to watch. Could this be the perfect opportunity for Anna to impress and gain the promotion that she craves, or will the case be too much even for her….
