Thomas Partey reveals he converted to Islam because of his girlfriend

Arsenal and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has revealed the real reason why he converted to Islam.

Partey was born a Christian until recently, when news broke out that he had converted to Islam.

In a recent video posted by Nana Aba Anamoah during a hangout with the talented footballer, he revealed that he converted because of the woman he is currently dating.

Thomas was been offered palm wine by Nana Aba Anamoah when he confirmed his Muslim status.

“I have a girl I love,” he said. and jokingly added; “I know my side chics will leave me but it’s no problem… I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it’s the same thing”.

When asked by Nana Aba if he intends to marry her, Partey stated that he was married to her already.

He also revealed his Muslim name is “Yakubu.”
