Three brilliant Ghanaian student change makers have been selected amongst 50 finalists for the $100,000 Global Student Prize.

The students; Kezia Asiedua Sanie of the Ghana School of Law, Paul Mensah Amanor, a level 400 law student at Central University,  and Mohammed Hafiz Musah, a student of the MSc International Development programme at the University of Edinburgh constitute the Social Impact Changemakers of the Global Student Prize 2023 from Ghana.

Kezia is the founder of For The Future Ghana (FTF), a charity that supports underprivileged children by sponsoring their education, boosting their well-being, and providing them with opportunities.

Hafiz is the co-founder of FarmAsyst, an agri-tech startup in Ghana that uses web and mobile to make small agribusiness more stable, viable and efficient.

Paul runs the non-profit Foundation for Educational Equity and Development (Ghana) and his mission is to end educational poverty in Ghana and beyond through literacy and youth empowerment.

The $100,0000 Chegg.org Global Student Prize was founded in collaboration with the Varkey Foundation to celebrate inspiring students worldwide who are actively reshaping our world for the better. Students are assessed on their academic achievement, impact on their peers, how they make a difference in their community and beyond, how they overcome the odds to achieve, how they demonstrate creativity and innovation, and how they foster global citizenship.

“We are at a critical turning point as we face some of the greatest challenges in history. Students worldwide are keenly aware of this urgency, and they are leveraging their ingenuity to overcome the significant obstacles facing them to build a better future for us all. Congratulations to all 50 finalists.”

Chegg not only celebrates your achievements but also the endless possibilities that exist when young minds are driven by a passion for change. The Top 50 Global Student Prize finalists deserve the opportunity to have their stories told and have their voices heard. Their dreams, wisdom and inventive spirit will illuminate a more hopeful future for everyone” said Heather Hatlo Porter, Head of Chegg.org and Chief Communications Officer of Chegg, Inc.

The 2023 winner will be announced at a prize ceremony later this year.
