Top Nigerian DJ, Jimmy Jatt to rock Ghana DJ Awards

Jimmy JattNigerian show stopping DJ, Jimmy Jatt is expected to electrify the atmosphere at the National Theatre come Friday 26th October by thrilling his Nigerian fans and Ghanaians at the highly anticipated maiden edition of Ghana DJ Awards. Jimmy who will also feature as the main DJ at the Ghana DJ Awards after party at Club Invasion, an event to be hosted by Ghana’s Untouchable DJ Mensa, is set to electrify the atmosphere to raise the Nigerian Flag higher at the much awaited event. Born and bred in Lagos Island, Jimmy Amu, popularly known as Dj Jimmy Jatt is a renowned Disc Jockey who is known for setting the pace for Hip hop music in Nigeria and beyond. Formerly, known as Master J, Dj Jimmy Jatt came into the music industry as a rapper with lot of demos but after a fruitless search getting a record label to support him, he started deejaying with the support of his brothers. Today, he shapes up as Nigeria’s highest paid DJ and plays at the biggest events in the biggest West African country. The event will witness performances from DJ Hubert, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Young Joe, Kofi Dixon, DJ Mensa alongside artistes  music artistes including VIP , Okyeame Kwame, Asem, Kaakie, Tic Tac, Diamond Appiah, D3 (latest female group), RNM winners of the maiden edition of the Vodafone Icon , Herty Borngreat plus a host of other  International and local artists. The Award is aimed at promoting, honouring and rewarding the best achieving Ghanaian radio, night club and “recognized” mobile Disk Jockeys (DJ). Produced by Merqury Republic Events, the event is expected to bring more excitement and added value to the DJ profession in Ghana. There are 21 categories covering major music genres in Ghana, from Highlife to Reggae, as well as Scratch DJ of the Year, Popular DJ of the Year, and Artist DJ of the Year amongst other exciting categories.
