Today, Wednesday, January 27, 2020 concludes the 4-day state mourning of Former President Jerry John Rawlings.

The final ceremony which is being held at the Black Stars Square has seen a lot of dignitaries in attendance to pay their last respects.

As is custom of funerals of big and important people in the country, there has  been a rich display of Ghanaian culture at the funeral of the ex-president of Ghana.

A photographer by the name Smith Imaging gives us these iconic shots from the Black Stars Square.

The former President died at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital after a short illness on November 12, 2020. After the day’s activities, he will be conveyed to the Military Cemetery in Burma Camp where he will be buried.
