Asamoah Gyan has boldly disclosed that there is nothing wrong with consulting pastors and mallams to get his football career going, insisting everyone needs ‘spiritual fortitude’ to work.  He said on the ‘Delay Show’ that football is a ‘spiritual exercise’ and as such he sees nothing wrong with a football player consulting pastors and mallams before a game. “You can’t just rise up and say you’re going to play football because it is a spiritual exercise. You will need spiritual fortitude before you get into play and it’s not just for football but every other work”, the 31-year-old said.
