UN gives Chiropractic & Wellness Centre and its celebrity ambassadors thumbs-up!

The United Nations has invited the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre (CWC) in Ghana to partake in this year’s UN World Autism Day, which falls on Monday, April 2. The decision was as result of the centre’s past and recent activities in giving attention to autistic patients and also forging a good relationship between people with neurological disorders and influential celebrities in Ghana’s entertainment industry.

On Monday, April 2, the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre’s Dr. Marcus Manns will join UN officials at a special UN World Autism Day event at New Horizon School at Cantonment to give a talk on autism and chiropractic treatment.
Less than a month ago, the CWC embarked on a similar project at the New Horizon School in collaboration with NewMax Company.
At that event, it honoured Ghanaian stars Yvonne Nelson, Richie Mensah and Luckie Lawson for their significant contribution and dedicated service to the people of Ghana via movies and music. They were each presented with a certificate of recognition at the ceremony.
The three stars took time off their busy schedules to spend some quality time with students with neurological disorders at the school.

The screening ceremony was an activity that brought a team of doctors and celebrities together to screen challenged students and bring smiles on their faces.
The doctors and members of the centre interacted, played, danced and encouraged the students, assuring them that they were important in society and that their conditions were not permanent.
New Horizon School is a non-profit organisation that provides basic education for children and vocational training for over 140 special needs person.

Last year, as part of activities to further raise awareness about chiropractic, the CWC in Ghana named three icons- Reggie Rockstone, Richie and Joseph Agbeko- as its health ambassadors. It has its head office located in Asylum Down, adjacent Roxbury night club, with affiliates in Takoradi, Kumasi and Cape Coast. ]]>
