While in Lagos for the Nigerian Independence Day celebrations I have seen several reports about an attack on Stonebwoy during his recent concert, that left his wife with a cut on her back. Stonebwoy was nearly stabbed minutes before he stepped on stage to entertain the multitude who gathered at the Sakasaka Park at Ashaiman on September 30 evening. The musician confirmed the issue on his Facebook page Sunday morning, hours after the event ended. Stonebwoy who recently married added that even though the attackers missed him as target, the knife cut his darling wife, Louisa on her back. Despite muggers slashing his wife, Stonebwoy went ahead to perform just to make his fans happy. The BHiM Nation boss rushed to the hospital minutes after his full performance at the Ashaiman To The World Concert.

Artistes who supported Stonebwoy at the Ashaiman To The World concert included LilWin, Kumi Guitar, Joyce Blessing, Kofi Kinaata, Becca, Obibinii, King Promise, Fancy Gadam, Patapaa, Teephlow, Kurl Songx, Shatta Wale and many others. Ghana Police has commented on the attack The Public Relations Officer for Tema Divisional Police, ACP Joseph Benefo Darkwah speaking on radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show stated that they have not had any official complaint from the artiste or his management concerning the attack. He told Abrantepa, host of the mid-morning show on Monday, that his outfit is waiting to hear from the musician and management to take further action. Commenting on the event, ACP Joseph stated that “everything went on perfect despite electrical fault”. He continued that “our men were there to provide the needed security”. Blakk Cedi, manager of Stonebwoy has also commented on the events, saying he is not happy about the public blaming Zylofon Media and security men who were present at the event for the misfortune. To him, the group members who were present at the concert did their effort to put up a successful concert so “the team will remain cohesive ad that no disharmony will stem from what happened to our queen.” Blakk Cedi believes what happened on Saturday night was just an accident but not a planned even to take the life of the BET award-winner. He later made it clear that “security breaches occur even at the White House and Buckingham palace, so it could also happen at saka saka park.” “IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT SOME ON SOCIAL MEDIA CHOOSE TO BLAME THE MANAGER, ZYLOFON MEDIA,SECURITY STAFF AND THE TEAM AROUND, BUT I HOPE THAT THEIR ASSERTIONS WILL NOT SOW ANY SEEDS OF DISCORD AMONG US.
