Video: Sly Kobby out with 'Trodo'

sly kobbyLondon- based Ghanaian singer, Sly Kobby is out with his latest single, ‘Trodo’ featuring Kazuka. The song is a pulsating blend of Sly Kobby’s highlife influences with the impressive dancehall style of Kazuka. Produced by the Tema based engineer Kaywa, ‘Trodo’ was recorded in heart of London and the music video Staring Baba Spirit of Rainbow Radio, was shot by Okyeame Quophy.  Sly Kobby explained: “This massive tune involves talents from GH and UK hence it is special. The song talks about the uniqueness of a lady, the rumours associated with relationship and what one can do to convince a loved one all in a fun and witty manner” Born Kwabena Owusu Dapaah in Kumasi, Sly Kobby started doing music at the age of 6 years but left the country to further his education in the United Kingdom. His first album was recorded in 2007 by Zapp Mallet, Kings Beat , Ricardo, and Steve Yeboah in the UK. The debut album was titled ‘Med3 Bebom’ and it included his hit song Naa Yaa ( Odoywu Se Wafa Mela) which featured Sonni Balli. Another popular song on the album was ‘Metwen’ featuring Lucky Mensah and Pap Slim. In 2012 Sly Kobby returned with a massive video for ‘Boso Mame’ from his second album. ‘Trodo’ is taken off his third album. Currently living in Essex, Sly Kobby says Ghanaians should watch out and witness the redefinition of Highlife Music called power highlife, with him at the forefront.
