Vodafone Icons offers the public a chance to vote and win a Kia Rio

CAR 1After last week’s exciting live performances on Vodafone Icons: Mixed Edition, voting has now begun and the fate of each group in the competition lies in the hands of the voting public. Voting is 100% public and the public can vote by texting ‘group name’ to short code 1738 across all networks. The highest texter at the end of the season also gets to win a Kia Rio, courtesy Rana Motor, so get texting! If you missed the performance on Sunday across the various television networks, you can always watch the group performances on www.facebook.com/Vodafoneghana Meet the Groups Black N Peach,  made up of Emma Orleans-Lindsay, Noble Nii Nortey and Noella Wiyaala. These young two females and a male symbolize strength and the sweetness and calmness associated with the fruit peach. ‘We like to look sexy, classy, hot but simple’. 2JD consists of two females and a male – Jasmine Emefa Aikins, Jayson Amanfoh Smith and Dorinda Ofosuah. An acronym of first names of the individual people and they believe they are different from the other groups because they are reserved but full of surprises and deliver to meet expectations. Veronica Sarfo Adu-Nti, Nii Nookwei Tackie and Reuben Nii Ayitey Hammond make up Sharps. Sharps believe they are on point when it comes to their music and they have something to offer the world. They know no boundaries and want to be seen as ‘a better form of the Fugees. Outgoing, friendly and dynamic young vibrant group, Ruff Road made up of two females and male; Nelsyn Narh, Peace Ayillah and Ruth Anaman strive to entertain with innovative vocals, amazing appeal and overall fashion sense. They are extreme, exclusive and extraordinary. Bass is a matured outspoken group with a smooth striking and chic edge. They are loud in a soft way hence their ability to impact our audience in diverse ways. Bass is made up of two males and a female – Cecil Smooth, Henry Akongbota and Eric Letsa. Powerful energetic singers and second to none, the style of Waves consisting Rosemary Ampofoh Gertrude Hansen-Sackey and Joshua will just keep you coming back like waves and yearning for more. ‘We never fail to deliver because we are considered as remarkably unique’. Ginger forms a dynamic and young vibrant group with a sense of passion and fashion to bring originality to the table of their audiences. Perez Lamptey, Sandra D. Owusu and Richard Owusu make up Ginger. Vybes represent unpredictability, full of life and stories. Always ready to give out the best and they ensure that an encounter with them will send vibrations and chill down your spine. Addy Bernard Danso Christian Amoah and Chidinma Onuoha make up Vybes.
